Is there a Blackboard airdrop?
No token or airdrop has been announced. Blackboard's founder told the Japanese outlet Crypto Times that a token is being considered but that there is no concrete plan yet, and that it would be announced once settled.
Blackboard does run a points program called Board Points. The docs say only that "exact Board Point earning rates are still being finalized", and they give points no stated value or use. The terms add: "You acknowledge that you have no contractual or proprietary entitlement to any Reward."
What Blackboard is
Blackboard describes itself as "a self-custodial on-chain trading terminal". One account gives access to several venues: crypto perpetuals on Aster, perpetuals on stocks, indices, currencies and commodities on Hyperliquid, and prediction markets on Polymarket. It has no chain or contracts of its own. The docs call it "an interface layer", with every trade settling on a separate protocol.
It opened to everyone on 5 October 2026, with the announcement "Blackboard Open Alpha is live." The earlier waitlist is closed.
How Blackboard rewards work
Board Points follow the trading fees you pay and your referrals. A referral earns you 10% of the Blackboard fee on your friend's trades.
The one program with dates is a trading competition with Aster. It runs from 10 October to 10 November 2026 (UTC) and offers "a share of up to $100,000" across a volume leaderboard and a profit leaderboard. Winners claim between 12 and 26 November.
Warning The competition has a high bar. The event page says you need "at least $88.9K in trading volume" to qualify at all, on leveraged products. The docs warn that with perpetuals, "market movements can result in losses exceeding your deposited margin."
Blackboard airdrop step-by-step guide
- Check the restricted list. The docs say use is restricted in the United States, Ontario and sanctioned countries. Prediction markets are also barred in the United Kingdom, France, Singapore, Poland, Thailand, Australia, Belgium and Taiwan.
- Open blackboard.fi and launch the app. Sign in with Google, Apple or email, or connect a wallet.
Warning Blackboard's docs say the team "will never contact you first via DM" and "will never ask for your seed phrase or private key". They also tell users to be cautious of "links disguised as airdrops or rewards".
- Deposit funds. Choose the asset and the network carefully.
Warning The deposit page warns: "Sending to the wrong network may result in permanent loss of assets."
- Move funds into the market you want and approve a session key once. The docs say this key can trade but can't withdraw.
- Trade. Points follow the fees you pay.
- For the competition, open the event page, sign in and press Join. Only trades placed on Aster through Blackboard after you join count.

Blackboard costs and fees
Signing up is free. Trading isn't: each venue charges its own fees and Blackboard adds its own, and deposits can carry network fees. Since points come from fees paid, earning them means spending money on every trade.
Blackboard risks and eligibility
- Rewards carry no entitlement under the terms, and point rates aren't final.
- The docs say no identity check is required. The privacy policy says ID documents may be requested where checks are needed.
- Blackboard publishes no audit of its own, because it deploys no contracts. Your risk sits with the venues it routes to.
- The terms ban using a VPN to get around location checks.
- The competition's qualifying volume has changed once already, from $50,000 in the first announcement to $88.9K on the event page.
Who is behind Blackboard?
The operator is Blackboard Solutions Ltd., registered in the British Virgin Islands. The docs say: "Team information is private." The one named person is Jace Choi, described by Crypto Times as founder and chief executive, who previously worked at the exchanges Bitget and Gate.io. No investors or funding have been published.
