There is no airdrop of SOL itself: the token has been live since 2020 and we found none announced by the Solana Foundation. The airdrops are in the ecosystem, led by Solana Mobile's SKR for Seeker phone owners and by points programs at apps that have no token yet.

Is there a Solana airdrop?

Not of SOL. The token has circulated since Solana's Mainnet Beta launched in 2020, and we found no SOL airdrop announced by the Solana Foundation. The "solana airdrop" command in Solana's developer guides gives out test SOL on devnet and testnet.

The closest thing to an official drop came from Solana Mobile, maker of the Seeker phone. Its SKR token has a supply of 10 billion, with 30% set aside for airdrops. The first opened for claims on 21 January 2026, The Block reported. Solana Mobile says 1.819 billion SKR went to 100,908 Seeker users and 141 million SKR to 188 app developers. Claims closed on 21 April with about 90% taken, and the roughly 200 million SKR left over went back into the airdrop pool.

How Solana ecosystem airdrops work

Most live programs are points systems run by individual apps. Loopscale, Hylo, Neutral Trade and Pacifica credit points for lending, holding, vault deposits or trading. None of their docs describes a token or a rate for converting points into one, and Loopscale's FAQ says no token or airdrop has been announced. Solstice already has a token, SLX, and reserves 10% of supply for its Flares seasons.

Seeker owners have a second route. Seed Vault Wallet's Activity Tracking tab records onchain activity, dApp Store use and daily device use, and Solana Mobile has paid SKR for campaign quests. Seeker Summer ran from 7 July to 30 August 2026 and allocated 52 million SKR over its first two rounds. Partner apps add perks: in August, Neutral Trade gave Seeker users a 20% points boost for two months. We found no date or size for the next SKR distribution on Solana Mobile's blog.

How to qualify for Solana airdrops: step by step

  1. Set up a Solana wallet you control and keep some SOL for fees. An SKR claim needed about 0.015 SOL.
  2. Read each project's points page before you deposit.
  3. Stick to one wallet. Pacifica's docs say 100 accounts earn no more than one, and Solana Mobile applied anti-sybil checks before allocating SKR.
  4. On a Seeker, connect your Seeker Genesis Token in Seed Vault Wallet, switch on Usage and Diagnostics, and watch the Activity Tracking tab.
  5. Claim before the deadline. SKR Season 1 allowed 90 days and Seeker Summer's second round 30.

Solana airdrop risks

  • Points may never become tokens. Four of the five projects on our watch list have not announced one.
  • Earning points means lending or trading with real money, which can lose value.
  • Loopscale's FAQ warns that anyone offering a Loopscale token is not affiliated with the team. SKR is claimed inside Seed Vault Wallet.
