The Pit airdrop: is one planned?

Nothing has been promised. The Pit has published no token, no points rules and no airdrop. The only signal from its main account is a one-line post from 4 September 2026: "Early users will be incentivized". It gave no detail then and hasn't since.

Two smaller things exist. People on the waitlist were told they could claim a username and "get your bonus funds to start trading", with no amount or conditions published. And the privacy policy lists "points and badge history, leaderboard and season history" among the data the app stores, which suggests such features are built or planned. There are no public rules for any of them.

What The Pit is

The Pit calls itself "the app where trades go viral". It is a phone app for iOS and Android, with no web version, where traders post their calls, follow each other and message. Signing up creates a wallet for you on an EVM chain and on Solana through Privy, a wallet provider.

The public beta was announced on 9 September 2026 with the words "Download the Beta version and start trading today." The Pit's posts on X list Hyperliquid, Robinhood Chain, Solana, Base and BNB Chain as places you can trade from the app.

Warning The app's own terms say the opposite of its posts. The terms, dated 27 July 2026, state: "Buying, selling, position management, deposits, and withdrawals are not offered in this version of the App." Until they are updated, no published terms cover trading in The Pit, so check what the app actually does before you put money in.

The Pit airdrop step-by-step guide

  1. Install the app from the App Store or Google Play, using the links on thepitapp.xyz. It is free.
  2. Create an account with an email code, Apple, Google or Discord. The app creates your wallet at this point.

Warning The wallet isn't private. The privacy policy says: "Your EVM wallet address is disclosed publicly." It is attached to your public profile.

  3. Claim your username.
  4. Follow traders and post your own calls. You can share a referral code, though The Pit hasn't said what a referral earns.
  5. If you decide to trade, start small. Fees, minimum deposits and withdrawal costs aren't published.

Warning The app now offers to import an existing wallet. Its own guidelines say: "Never share your seed phrase or private key", and that The Pit "will never ask for it". Don't import the key of a wallet that holds funds you care about.

  6. Follow @ThePitApp on X for any reward announcement.

The Pit costs and fees

Downloading the app and creating an account cost nothing. The Pit hasn't published trading fees, a minimum deposit or withdrawal fees anywhere we could find, so the real cost of trading through it is unknown.

The Pit risks and eligibility

  • You must be at least 18. The terms add that The Pit "is not available in all jurisdictions", and no country list is published.
  • There is no identity check. The privacy policy says "we do not perform identity verification".
  • The results other traders show are self-reported. The terms say The Pit "does not verify them against blockchain records or any other source before publishing them".
  • No security audit of the app or its wallet setup has been published.
  • Rewards are undefined: no amounts, rules or dates exist for the bonus funds, the referrals or the incentives for early users.

Who is behind The Pit?

The terms name The Pit App LLC, registered in Delaware. Google Play lists a different developer, Intensity Tech Corp., and an official post says the app is "Brought to you by Shogun." No person is named on the site.

The homepage shows the logos of Polychain Capital, YZi Labs, Maelstrom and Arrington Capital under "Backed by", with no amount. The only figure we found is older and belongs to the parent project: The Block reported in May 2024 that Intensity Labs, the developer of Shogun, raised a $6.9 million seed round co-led by Polychain Capital and DAO5.
