Melee airdrop guide

Melee is a creator prediction market on Solana, in a free beta that runs on test money. Trading eligible markets moves your Melee Score, and your highest beta rank sets a Score multiplier on mainnet. Melee has announced no token and no airdrop, and it hasn't said what Score will pay.

Is there a Melee airdrop?

None confirmed. Melee has announced no token, and none of its pages or posts that we read mention an airdrop. The closest thing is Melee Score, which its site calls "The foundation of all future rewards and point systems." It also says: "Your highest rank during Beta sets your Melee Score multiplier on mainnet."

Melee hasn't said what that multiplier applies to, or whether Score will ever turn into a token. So this is a free beta with a ranking, not a claim. It costs nothing to try, but you are spending time on a reward nobody has described.

Warning With no token announced, any Melee claim page or token sale is one to avoid. Melee's terms say: "We do not have access to or store your keys or seed phrases". Nobody from Melee needs yours.

What Melee is

Melee describes itself as "Creator prediction markets." Its headline promise is: "Create a prediction market on anything in under a minute." It runs on Solana with its own pricing engine, the Parimutuel Market Maker (PMM), announced on 21 July 2026. Bets go into a pool, your position has a minimum payout set when you enter, and a cashout vault can buy you out before a market ends.

The product is still in beta on a test network. Melee says: "Beta runs on tUSD, so every strategy above can be tested at no cost." Its site calls this "A testnet that means something", and the app code points to Solana devnet. Mainnet has no date, and real money only comes then: "Your rank, your Score and your perks carry over when real money arrives."

The beta moves in phases. Phase 1 brought crypto price markets and markets curated by the team. Phase 2 added templates: "Pick a market, claim it, share it, earn the fees." On 27 October 2026 Melee announced: "Phase 3 of Melee Beta is here." A first group of whitelisted creators can now launch and resolve their own markets, and Melee adds: "You don't need to be whitelisted to be part of Phase 3." The website still lists Phase 3 as later, so trust the dated posts on X.

How Melee Score works

Melee Score is one rating kept across the whole beta season. The app says: "Everyone starts at 1,000." From there it moves both ways: "Every trade in Beta moves your Melee Score. Good calls raise it, bad calls drop it." It sets your rank, from Bronze through Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond up to Champion.

The app says: "A higher score earns new rank badges, free plays and other rewards." No cash, token or point amount is attached to any of that. Other things that feed your rank:

  • Creator markets: an app banner reads "Earn 2x Melee Score on creator markets". It shows no end date.
  • Daily streak: trading each day adds a Score multiplier. The tiers only show after login.
  • Daily case: "A free play every day. Open it to see how big." It lapses: "Expires 24h after you claim it."
  • Weekly competitions: "Weekly competitions run through every phase". We found no prizes or dates for them.
  • Creator access: "Who gets in next is shaped by what you do on Melee: trading creator markets, building Creator Score, and the markets you push."

Melee hasn't published the Score formula, which markets count, or when the season ends. Its X post says only: "We'll share dates for each stage as we go."

Melee airdrop step-by-step guide

No Melee airdrop is confirmed. These steps get you into the beta and start your Score.

  1. Check the barred list further down. Melee's app may load even where its terms bar you.
  2. Go to melee.markets and press Enter beta.
  3. Log in. The app offers "Continue with email or social", Google or a Solana wallet, and says: "No crypto wallet needed. We'll set one up for you."
  4. Add a code if you have one, through its link or Claim a code on your profile. The site says "Access drops in waves", with "Codes released regularly on Twitter and Discord." We saw none in Melee's X posts from 26 to 31 October, and we couldn't test whether a code is still required.
  5. Set a username and take the tutorial. The welcome case "Opens once your profile and the tutorial are done."
  6. Claim your daily tUSD and trade live markets. The app says: "To reveal your Melee Score, try placing a real trade." Real here means a live market, not real money.

Warning tUSD is test money. No official page asks you to send real SOL or stablecoins to your beta wallet, so don't, even though the app has a funding screen.

  7. Open the daily case and trade each day to keep a streak. If you want to create markets, apply through the form in Melee's Phase 3 post.

Melee costs and fees

The beta is free. Melee calls it "A free ranked season on live markets", and tUSD is claimed daily with no deposit. Trades in the app carry a fee in test money, and gas isn't mentioned.

Fees at mainnet are unknown. There is no fee schedule, and the terms warn that "the precise fee applicable to a particular transaction may not be disclosed in advance". A 2% creator cut appears only in a mock-up on the site, so don't treat it as a rate.

Melee risks and eligibility

  • Barred: the terms exclude residents and citizens of the United States, the Crimea region, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria and Russia, plus sanctioned places and anywhere crypto is prohibited or restricted. They add: "THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS."
  • Age and VPNs: "These Services are offered and available to users who are 18 years of age or older." The terms also ban using a VPN to get around the restrictions.
  • The geo-block looks switched off in the app code we read on 1 November, so being able to open the app doesn't mean you're allowed. That could matter if rewards are ever paid.
  • No written rules cover Score. The privacy policy is dated October 2025, and neither it nor the terms mention Melee Score, the beta or rewards.
  • One person can decide a market: "Right now, the creator alone decides the outcome." The terms make results final. Melee says a resolver network goes live before mainnet.
  • The floor is weaker than it sounds. One page says "your downside is fixed", but the guide defines the floor as "The least your position can pay if its outcome wins and you hold to resolution." If your outcome loses, it doesn't help.
  • Numbers on the site aren't usage figures. "49,247 predictors in line" is fixed text in the code, and the logged-out leaderboard says: "Sample. No ranked traders yet on this network."
  • We found no audit, contract addresses or public code. The litepaper says the pricing curves "are proprietary and are not disclosed".
  • Cases, streaks and expiring credit are gambling-style hooks. They use test money today, and the habits carry over once real money arrives.

Who is behind Melee?

The terms name "Melee Markets Inc.", while the site footer says "Melee Inc." No address is given, and the terms use Cayman Islands law. There is no team page. On X, the user maximilian (@itsmaximilian) describes himself as "ceo @meleemarkets". Melee says only that it is "built by a team of blockchain, trading and big tech veterans".

On 24 September 2025 Melee announced: "Melee has raised $3.5 Million from @variantfund & @dba_crypto to build Viral Markets". CoinDesk reported the same raise, with a group of angel investors. ChainCatcher said Variant led and named Meltem Demirors, Anatoly Yakovenko and Santiago Roel Santos among the angels.
