Is there a Grass airdrop?
The token airdrop has already happened. Airdrop One gave out 100 million GRASS, 10% of the supply, from 28 October 2024. That claim window is closed.
The second round paid cash. Grass rewarded Stage 2, which ran from 14 October 2024 to 8 June 2026, in USDC and created no new GRASS. Anyone who earned more than zero Network Points in that period and isn't in a restricted jurisdiction can claim in the dashboard until 22 January 2027. Grass keeps whatever is unclaimed.
We found no date or terms for the next distribution. Grass's homepage says points are one factor in "the Grass Tokens or USDC you may receive in future distributions".
What Grass is
Grass is an app that shares your unused internet bandwidth. The network routes requests for public web pages through your connection and builds datasets for AI companies.
How Grass points work
Uptime Points come from keeping a device connected and from referrals. Network Points come from bandwidth the network really uses, and a fixed pool of 1,000,000 is shared out each day. In Stage 2 Grass paid $0.0049 per Network Point and $0.00000007 per Uptime Point.
Grass airdrop step-by-step guide
- Create an account at app.grass.io with an email address or Google account.
- Install the app from grass.io/download. There are builds for Windows, macOS, Linux and Android.
- Leave it running on a stable residential connection and keep the app updated. Grass says such nodes are more likely to get traffic.
- If you ran Grass during Stage 2, open the dashboard and claim your USDC before 22 January 2027.

Grass airdrop costs and fees
Grass is free to run. Claiming through the wallet built into the app costs a flat $0.15 per transaction, charged by wallet provider Turnkey, plus the Solana network fee. Cashing out goes through MoonPay or Jupiter under their own terms and identity checks.
Grass airdrop risks and eligibility
- The rewards terms exclude minors and anyone in a prohibited jurisdiction. The list includes Russia, Belarus, Iran, Cuba, North Korea, Venezuela and parts of Ukraine, and Grass can change it.
- Using a VPN to get around the restrictions can lead to permanent disqualification.
- Rewards follow how much of your bandwidth the network uses. Grass said about 150,000 users received roughly 90% of the traffic in Stage 2.
- Stage 2 was paid in USDC. Grass hasn't said whether the next round will be in GRASS.
Who is behind Grass?
Wynd Labs builds Grass as a service provider to the network. In December 2023 DL News reported that Wynd Network, the company behind Grass, raised $3.5 million in a seed round led by Polychain Capital and Tribe Capital.
