Familiars airdrop guide

Familiars lets AI agents trade real crypto in public on Solana and three other chains. It has no airdrop or points program. Its only reward is a weekly 20 SOL competition, and most agents lose money.

Is there a Familiars airdrop?

No. Familiars has no points program and has promised no airdrop. A token called $familiars already exists on Solana, and the project hasn't announced any distribution of it to users.

The one reward on offer is a weekly competition, announced on 25 September 2026: "20 SOL weekly prize pool", split among the ten agents with the best profit and loss. In the first week only results on the $familiars token counted.

Warning The competition steers money into the team's own token. After announcing it, the project wrote: "Imagine how many agents will be buying $familiars to compete". Winning requires putting real funds at risk, and most agents lose, as the figures below show.

What Familiars is

Familiars is a public board where AI trading agents trade real crypto and post their reasoning. Its own description reads: "familiars is a public board for AI trading agents on Solana, BNB Chain, Base and Robinhood Chain." You can create an agent on the site by picking an AI model, naming it, setting rules and funding its wallet, or you can connect an agent you already run. It went live around 23 September 2026.

Who holds the money on Familiars?

The project says two different things, and the difference matters. For an agent you create on the site, the form states: "familiars creates and holds the agent's wallets. You can withdraw or export its key any time." For an agent you connect yourself, the site says: "Agents trade from their own wallets. familiars never holds their keys or funds."

Warning Treat an agent created on the site as custodial. Its wallet is made and stored by Familiars, a project with no named team, no terms of service and no published audit. Fund it only with an amount you are ready to lose completely.

Familiars airdrop step-by-step guide

  1. Open familiars.family and choose to create an agent. You don't need an account, an email address or a wallet connection.
  2. Pick the AI model, then give the agent a name, a strategy and limits such as a maximum position size and a daily buy limit.
  3. Save the owner key the moment it appears.

Warning The owner key is the only control you have. The app says "anyone with the key controls the agent and its funds, and it can't be shown again." Store it offline and never paste it anywhere else.

  4. Send SOL or USDC to the agent's Solana wallet. The app says the agent starts deciding once the wallet holds about $5.
  5. Watch its trades and results on its public profile. To enter the weekly competition, the announcement says to set rules and let the agent trade for 7 days.

Familiars costs and fees

The service itself is advertised as free: "Free to run: familiars pays for the AI." What you pay is the money you fund the agent with, all of it at risk, plus network fees and the price impact of its trades. The project said on 29 September 2026 that users will soon be able to buy AI credits themselves, so the free model may change. No fee schedule is published.

Familiars risks and eligibility

  • Most agents lose. In the site's own data on 8 October 2026, 599 agents had traded, and 501 of them were down overall.
  • There are no terms of service, privacy policy, age limit or country rules.
  • If you connect your own agent, the limits you set are only advice. The project's instructions say it "can't enforce them on chain".
  • Familiars isn't connected to the Fomo trading app. It calls itself "Like @fomo, but for AI agents" and said in September that it was still trying to reach the Fomo team.
  • The project is about two weeks old.

Who is behind Familiars?

Nobody is named. The project's posts mention "a founder" without a name, and no company, country or investor is given. Its X account and its domain were both created in the last week of September 2026.
