Is there a Psy Protocol airdrop?
No. Psy Protocol, which used to be called QED Protocol, has announced no token and no airdrop. Its program rules say: "All rewards in this program are purely social and reputational". Its onboarding guide adds: "Psy Points are social/reputational only." Asked about a token launch in January 2026, the project replied: "Wen TGE? Not rushing. Real infrastructure takes time."
There are hints, nothing more. In 2024 The Block reported that the founder expected a protocol token, and the project's code holds an unused function for claiming a PSY reward. Neither is an announcement.
Warning Any site selling or airdropping a PSY or QED token isn't Psy Protocol. The project's scam alert says: "We'll never DM you first or ask for wallet access or seed phrases."
What Psy Protocol is
Psy describes itself as "a privacy preserving blockchain that scales to millions of users". Users prove their own transactions on their device, and miners combine those proofs. The old X account now reads "Psy (Formerly QED)", and its LinkedIn page says: "Psy Protocol (formerly QED Protocol) is a revolutionary Layer-1 blockchain".
It is still a test network, which the project calls staging. A paid press release of 2 October 2025 said: "Mainnet deployment is planned for later this year." That didn't happen, and psy.xyz itself still says "Psy's Testnet is on the horizon". On 13 October 2026 Psy opened a test bridge and faucet.
How the Psy Psychonaut program works
The Psychonaut Incubation Program has run since 2 October 2025, with no end date. You earn Psy Points from social quests, Discord activity, referrals and contests, and the points set your tier and your place on the leaderboard. The rules say points "hold no direct financial value."
Referrals boost the referrer's points up to five levels up the chain, from 20% for a direct recruit down to 1% at the fifth level, and the top tiers ask for a community "with 500+ members you've personally nurtured". Some events pay small amounts of USDT, such as weekly game nights on Discord.
Warning Rejected tasks are penalised. The onboarding guide says ten rejected submissions bring a permanent ban from submitting tasks.
Psy Protocol airdrop step-by-step guide
There is no airdrop to qualify for. These steps cover the points program and the testnet.
- Open psy.xyz/psychonaut and sign up with email, Google or a wallet.
- Link your X and Discord accounts. The guide says "you must link and verify X (Twitter) and Discord." for most tasks.
- Do the quests: open each task, complete it, then come back and press Verify.
- To try the testnet, install the Psy Wallet and use its faucet for test tokens. The wallet guide says: "Test assets have no monetary value."
Warning The wallet is installed by hand: you load an unpacked extension from a downloaded folder instead of the Chrome Web Store. Get it only from Psy's official links, and use a browser profile that holds no real wallets.

Psy Protocol costs and fees
Everything is free: there is no deposit, mint or minimum. Test gas on Sepolia, BSC Testnet or Base Sepolia comes free from faucets.
Psy Protocol risks and eligibility
- Points are reputation only, and nothing published links them to a token.
- Psy has published no terms of use, no privacy policy, no country list and no age limit.
- Dates have slipped before. Mainnet was due in 2025 and hasn't launched.
- The five-level referral boost rewards recruiting more than using the network.
- No security audit has been published.
Who is behind Psy Protocol?
The founder and chief executive is Carter Feldman. As QED, the project raised $3.25 million in a pre-seed round led by Arrington Capital and then "$6 million in a funding round led by Blockchain Capital", announced in July 2024. Its 2023 blog names the company as Zero Knowledge Labs Limited.
