Is there an RWAPerp airdrop?
No. RWAPerp has no token and hasn't mentioned an airdrop anywhere. Its docs describe a points program and say the points "do not represent any promise of return, Token distribution promise, or guarantee of future asset value".
The points aren't visible yet either. When we checked on 7 October 2026, the app's published settings had the Points page set to "Coming Soon", with a note that current trading and deposits will be counted retroactively. We couldn't open the page itself, because the app only lets approved wallets in.
What RWAPerp is
RWAPerp is a perpetual futures exchange for stocks, indices, commodities, currencies and crypto. It runs on X Layer, the Ethereum Layer 2 launched by OKX, and uses USDC as collateral. The contracts only track prices: the docs say you don't hold the underlying assets, and the app says you get no dividends or shareholder rights. Stock markets allow up to 20x leverage.
It is a closed beta with real funds. "Beta Wave 1" opened on 27 August 2026, and RWAPerp let in another batch of waitlist users on 14 September. On 7 October the homepage still said "LAUNCHING SOON", and its public figures showed about $6.65 million in lifetime trading volume. The app's settings show it runs as a broker on Orderly Network's shared exchange, which RWAPerp's user docs don't mention.
How RWAPerp points work
There are two scores. Waitlist XP only sets your place in the queue. You get 10 XP for connecting X, 20 for following @RWAPerp, 20 for connecting a wallet, and 10 each for sharing its post, giving an email and joining Discord or Telegram. Past trading volume on other perpetuals exchanges adds up to 200 XP on the live page (the docs say 300). Nothing says XP turns into Points.
RWAPerp Points are for trading and deposits. The docs set a pool of 1,000,000 base Points a week, shared by each user's contribution and settled weekly. No start date for the first week, end date or leaderboard is published, and referral points are listed only as a possible later addition.
RWAPerp airdrop step-by-step guide
- Check that you're allowed in. The terms ban residents of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, China, North Korea, Russia, Ukraine, Cuba, Iran, Venezuela and Syria, and the risk disclosure prohibits using a VPN to get around the block.
- Join the RWAPerp waitlist, which is free. Connect your X account, follow @RWAPerp, connect a wallet by signing a message that costs no gas, and do the smaller tasks. You can link up to three wallets.
- Wait for access. RWAPerp admits users in batches by XP rank and says it tells you through X, the waitlist page or email. An invite code from someone already inside also works.
- Set up a wallet for X Layer. The docs recommend OKX Wallet. In MetaMask, add the network yourself:
- Network name: X Layer Mainnet
- RPC URL: https://rpc.xlayer.tech
- Chain ID: 196
- Gas token: OKB
- Get USDC and a little OKB onto X Layer. The docs point to OKX's bridge. Without OKB you can't send transactions.
- Open app.rwaperp.xyz, connect the wallet, accept the terms and sign to create your trading account. Then deposit USDC.
Warning This is real money with up to 20x leverage on stocks. The docs say: "You may lose all deposited collateral."
- Trade. Pick a market, choose long or short, set the size and leverage, and watch the liquidation price on your position.
Warning Stock markets close, but these contracts trade all week. While the real market is shut the reference price is frozen, and the docs warn that positions held across a close can face sudden losses and liquidation risk at the next open.

RWAPerp costs and fees
The waitlist is free. RWAPerp doesn't publish its trading fees: the terms refer to a fee schedule that isn't in the docs. Funding is paid between long and short traders every one, four or eight hours, depending on the market. The exchange's public data listed a 1 USDC withdrawal fee and a 10 USDC minimum order when we checked.
Gas on X Layer is paid in OKB. Leaving X Layer through the official bridge takes about seven days, according to the docs, and faster bridges charge extra.
RWAPerp risks and eligibility
- Points have no stated payoff, and RWAPerp can change the rules. Wash trading, self-trading and linked accounts may be excluded.
- No audit report is published. RWAPerp's own risk disclosure calls the protocol "experimental software".
- The waitlist doesn't guarantee access, and a slot you don't use in time can go to someone else.
- The waitlist collects your X account, an email address and wallet addresses with their trading history.
- The X profile says "Powered by @XLayerOfficial". We found no statement from OKX or X Layer about RWAPerp.
- Deposits carry no insurance, and the terms cap RWAPerp's liability at $100 or the fees you paid in the last 12 months, whichever is lower.
Who is behind RWAPerp?
RWAPerp names no founders and no company. Its terms refer to Cayman Islands law without naming an entity, and the only person identified is a chief operating officer known by an X handle. The domain was registered in October 2025 and the X account in June 2026.
A press release that RWAPerp paid to distribute on 3 September 2026 says it raised $2 million at a $50 million valuation from individual backers, "alongside scouts from a16z and Sequoia". We found no independent report or investor statement confirming it.
