Surf AI airdrop guide

Surf is a paid AI research assistant for crypto and US stocks, backed by Pantera Capital. It promises no airdrop. Its Waves points have paid out as subscription discounts, and its SurfBoard NFT went to annual subscribers.

Is there a Surf AI airdrop?

No airdrop has been promised. Surf's FAQ says: "No. Surf currently has no token launch plans. Updates will be announced on @surfaihq if anything changes." That page was last updated in April 2026, though, and on 15 October 2026 Surf launched SurfBoard, an NFT that is also a token on Robinhood Chain.

The only airdrop in Surf's own copy is that NFT, and it went to paying customers: "If you purchased an annual Surf membership before 9/16/2026, Pro or Max, you can claim one Surfboard. There is no mint price." Claims close on 13 November 2026, and anyone else can buy one.

Warning Surf says: "Nothing about SurfBoard guarantees a return." It also warns: "If the Uniswap app or any other DEX shows a SURFBOARD price, it comes from an unofficial pool."

What Surf AI is

Surf's App Store page says: "Surf is an AI copilot that actually thinks in crypto." You ask questions in a chat and get answers with sources, drawn from on-chain data, social sentiment and fundamentals. It also covers US stocks, and it sells a tool for building apps and a data API. It has been open to everyone since September 2025.

How Surf AI Waves points work

Waves are Surf's loyalty points. The app says: "Waves is our loyalty program rewarding Surfers for meaningful contributions as they upgrade their workflows." It adds: "Paid plans earn Waves. Higher tiers earn more."

Season 1 ended on 17 September 2026, and its points were turned into subscription discounts. Surf's chief executive wrote in July: "We are rewarding varying discounts depending on how many points you earned". Season 2 started on 18 September with no end date. Surf's post says: "Earn season 2 waves by opening boxes, gifting memberships, and through gifted user's product activity."

The Mystery Box that earns Season 2 Waves is a paid offer: "Buy Surf Pro/Max. Get a box of stock tokens for free." It needs a yearly plan paid in USDG or ETH on Robinhood Chain, and the page says: "The campaign is not offered to US residents."

Warning The Mystery Box works like a loot box. Surf publishes the odds against a "$228 box price", and in the odds table we saw, most boxes paid out less than that. Buy a plan because you want the tool, not for the box.

Referrals pay too: "Rewards are calculated as 10% of the referred user's revenue contribution."

Surf AI airdrop step-by-step guide

There is no airdrop to qualify for. These steps cover the Waves points.

  1. Open asksurf.ai and sign up. Surf's chief executive has warned about impersonators: "The only official link is https://asksurf.ai. The account is @SurfAIHQ."
  2. Use the free plan first to see whether the tool is worth paying for. It includes limited research and three deep research sessions a week.
  3. If you buy a plan, Waves come with it, and higher plans earn more.
  4. Track your Waves on the leaderboard page, and share your referral link if you want the referral reward.

Surf AI costs and fees

Pro costs $49 a month or $348 a year, and Max runs from $100 to $1,000 a month. The terms say: "Except as required by law, all paid fees are non-refundable." A gifted membership renews automatically after its free year. Opening a SurfBoard costs about $0.10 in gas, and every trade of the token pays a 3% fee, part of which goes to Surf.

Surf AI risks and eligibility

  • Points have paid out as discounts, not tokens, and nothing official says Season 2 Waves will turn into anything else.
  • You must be 18 or older. The terms say: "You must not use VPNs, proxies, automation scripts, or other methods to circumvent platform access restrictions." They also exclude sanctioned countries.
  • Sign-up collects your date of birth and payment details, and the privacy policy allows sharing activity and device data with advertising partners.
  • Surf's own pages contradict each other about a token, and its terms don't cover Waves, the Mystery Box or SurfBoard.

Who is behind Surf AI?

Surf is run by Cybertino Inc., a Delaware company. Its team page names Ryan Li as co-founder and chief executive, and Fortune names four co-founders. On 10 December 2025 Fortune reported that Surf "raised $15 million from Pantera Capital, with participation from Coinbase Ventures and Digital Currency Group", and Surf's own announcement confirms the round.
