Doma Protocol airdrop guide

Doma, the chain for trading tokenized internet domains, runs a Season 1 points leaderboard, and its builder D3 opened the Frontier points program on 21 September 2026. No token is confirmed, and Doma's terms say points don't guarantee one.

Is there a Doma Protocol airdrop?

No token or airdrop has been announced. Doma's docs, blog and terms name no token, ticker or launch date, and gas on its chain is paid in ETH. The terms say points "do not guarantee" access to any future token, reward or distribution, and that Doma alone decides whether points ever get a use.

There are two points programs. The Doma Leaderboard has been in Season 1 since 9 April 2026, with no end date published. Frontier, run by D3, the company that builds Doma, opened on 21 September 2026. Its points only rank you for buying names in new domain extensions later.

What Doma Protocol is

Doma is a blockchain for trading real internet domains, such as .com and .ai names. It works with ICANN-accredited registrars, so a tokenized domain keeps working as a normal domain. In the app you buy and sell domain tokens, which are fractional stakes in one specific domain. Each token starts on a bonding curve and moves to open trading once the curve fills.

The testnet launched in late June 2025 and mainnet followed on 25 November 2025. On 2 October 2026 Doma's blog reported $486 million in total volume across 59,554 wallets.

How Doma Protocol points work

Leaderboard points come mostly from fees. Trading domain tokens earns 100 points for every $0.01 of Doma fees you pay or earn. Quests pay fixed amounts: on 4 October 2026 the daily quest paid 700 points for swapping at least $1 on five .com domains, and the weekly quests paid 1,000 to 3,000 points. Referrals pay 10% of the trading points of up to 100 people you invite.

The weekly board resets every Monday at 00:00 UTC and pays rank bonuses, from 10,000 points for first place down to 500 for finishing in the top half. Wallets also climb six levels, Tenant to Baron, with a bonus of 2,000 to 50,000 points at each one.

Frontier keeps a separate score. Signing up gives 10,000 Frontier Points without a deposit. Deposits into a partner vault earn 1 point per $1 per day, multiplied by four during Epoch 1, which ends on 21 March 2027.

Doma Protocol airdrop step-by-step guide

  1. Open app.doma.xyz and sign in. A Google or email login creates a Doma wallet, which Doma describes as gasless. You can connect your own wallet instead.
  2. Fund the wallet with USDC.e on Doma's chain. The Swap page bridges from Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Solana and other chains, or takes a card payment.
  3. Buy or sell domain tokens. Your points follow the fees you pay.

Warning You pay fees to earn points that have no stated payoff. A domain token is a stake in a single domain name, and the app warns that prices can fall and that liquidity varies.

  4. Check the quest board and do the quests that fit your budget. Holding one domain token unlocks the daily check-in.
  5. Track your points, weekly rank and level on the leaderboard.
  6. For Frontier, sign up at frontier.d3.com with an email to get the 10,000 points. Vault deposits are optional.

Warning Frontier deposits sit in a third-party vault, currently on Solana through Loopscale, and not with D3. The Frontier terms list smart contract failure, hacking and depegging among the risks.

Doma Protocol costs and fees

Signing up to the app and to Frontier is free. Earning leaderboard points costs money, because points are worked out from fees. Doma charges 0.50% while a token is still on its bonding curve and 0.10% after that, plus the liquidity pool's own fee, commonly 0.05% to 0.30%. With your own wallet you also pay gas in ETH.

Doma publishes no minimum trade size. The quests we saw named amounts between a $1 swap and $300 of weekly volume.

Doma Protocol risks and eligibility

  • The terms say points have no cash value and can't be transferred. Doma can change, suspend or end the program, or expire points already awarded, at any time without notice.
  • Frontier Points only set your place in the queue. A proposed extension may never be approved, and no registration is guaranteed. If your order does complete, you pay your full posted price even when the registry price is lower.
  • You must be 18 or older. D3's terms bar users in countries under US embargo, and Frontier can ask for identity or sanctions checks and bans multiple accounts.
  • Zellic's June 2025 audit of the contracts reported 12 findings, three of them critical. The report records them as fixed.

Who is behind Doma Protocol?

D3 Global, Inc. builds Doma, and Fred Hsu is its CEO and co-founder. The protocol's terms are issued by the Doma Foundation, a Cayman Islands foundation company. D3 raised a $5 million seed round led by Shima Capital in September 2023 and a $25 million Series A led by Paradigm, with Coinbase Ventures taking part, in January 2025, according to The Block. Halborn is D3's security audit partner.
