Ritual airdrop guide

Ritual is a Layer 1 blockchain for AI agents, built by the team behind Infernet, and its mainnet went live on 26 October 2026. Its community airdrop gives 50 million RITUAL to past Infernet node operators, Frenrug users and long-time Discord members. The claim is open now, but only for wallets the Ritual Foundation approved in advance.

Claim open The RITUAL claim opened on 26 October 2026 and stays open for three months from its start date. Only wallets already on the Foundation's approved list can claim.

Is there a Ritual airdrop?

Yes, and the claim is open, but only for wallets that already qualified. Ritual's tokenomics page says: "50,000,000 RITUAL (0.5% of supply) goes to the people who did verifiable work for the network long before it had a token." The Ritual Foundation announced on 26 October 2026: "Ritual mainnet is live." The first claim from the airdrop contract went through the same day, at 16:58 UTC.

You can only claim with "the blockchain address that was previously submitted to and approved by the Foundation". The list is final, and none of Ritual's pages describe a way to join it now. If you weren't an early contributor, this guide is mostly a warning about fake claim sites.

Warning We found no link to the claim site on Ritual's homepage, its tokenomics page or its mainnet post. The real one is airdrop.ritualfoundation.org, on the Foundation's own domain. Type it yourself, and ignore claim links in DMs, replies and ads.

What Ritual is

Ritual describes itself this way: "Ritual is a blockchain where an AI agent can run as a company of its own." Smart contracts on it can call AI models, web services and schedulers directly, so an agent can hold funds and pay its own way. The team started with Infernet, an AI network for other chains: "Infernet also becomes the first AI compute mesh to undergo holistic audits; Trail of Bits and Zellic find no critical issues."

Before mainnet, the Foundation says, testers deployed "over 2,000 agents to the chain sending over 90M transactions". RITUAL pays for that work: "Every deployment pays for its execution in native RITUAL." Supply starts at 10 billion, and "There is no maximum supply: total supply is set by issuance and burn over time." The token also exists outside Ritual's own chain: "RITUAL on BNB Smart Chain and Base is the same token, bridged from the RITUAL chain through LayerZero." The contract there is 0x256Ea35422b2F36B24aC1D66159Fe69e75918C37.

How the Ritual airdrop claim works

Three groups qualified, all for work done long before the token:

  • Infernet node operators: "Operators who ran those nodes are eligible, weighted by uptime (and purpose!) and workloads served."
  • Frenrug users: "Users who held keys and pitched the agent are eligible subject to the same scrutiny around any botted behavior."
  • Community members: "Long-time community members, including those consistently active in the Discord and ambassadors who helped grow it, are eligible."

"Sybil clusters were removed, and allocations stack across tracks." Claimed tokens have no lockup. The terms set the window: "The claim period for the Airdrop will begin on a date announced by the Foundation and will remain open for three (3) months from that date." We couldn't find the announced start date. If it was 26 October, the claim closes around 26 January 2027, and unclaimed tokens are lost.

The distributor contract received exactly 50 million RITUAL in August, and about 24.7 million were left on 27 October. The claim app's own list has 852 wallets sharing 39,952,018.94 RITUAL, which is less than the announced pool. Ritual hasn't explained the gap.

Ritual airdrop step-by-step guide

These steps are for wallets on the approved list. Anyone else will see: "This address is not included in the airdrop. Try another wallet."

  1. Open airdrop.ritualfoundation.org by typing it, and read the Token Airdrop Terms linked at the bottom ("Last Revised on October 21, 2026").
  2. Add Ritual Mainnet to your wallet: chain ID 784, RPC https://rpc.ritualfoundation.org, symbol RITUAL, explorer explorer.ritualfoundation.org. The claim app can also switch networks for you.
  3. Put a little RITUAL in the same wallet on Ritual Mainnet for gas. The app says: "Claims are not sponsored."
  4. Connect the approved wallet. The app shows your allocation, or tells you it has already been claimed.
  5. Press Claim and confirm one transaction. "You pay the gas for this transaction from the connected wallet."

Warning The real claim is a single call to the distributor 0x0AECCea8F26495b76609c6240fd0f38b92676D21 on chain 784. It needs no token approval, no permit signature and never your seed phrase. A site asking for any of those is fake.

  6. Check the result through the app's View distributor link on the Ritual explorer.

Ritual airdrop costs and fees

There's no claim fee, but you need RITUAL on Ritual Mainnet before you can claim, and the Foundation hasn't published an official route to get it there. The docs only say: "You need RITUAL for transaction gas and for RitualWallet deposits that back async precompile calls." No deposit, purchase or minimum is part of the claim itself.

Ritual airdrop risks and eligibility

  • You must be 18 or older. Sanctioned people are excluded, along with anyone "located, a resident of or organized in any jurisdiction or territory that is the subject of comprehensive country-wide or regional economic sanctions". There's no longer list of countries.
  • Don't use a VPN to get past a block: "Any such circumvention, or attempted circumvention, may permanently disqualify you from participation in the Airdrop, as determined in our discretion."
  • One wallet only. The terms forbid claiming "through more than one Digital Wallet".
  • Testnet activity earns nothing now; the terms say testnet tokens "are not, and shall never convert to or accrue to become Protocol mainnet" tokens.
  • The community gets 0.5% of supply, against 29% for core contributors and 11.3% for investors. "All insider tokens are locked for a minimum of one year from the date of mainnet launch." New tokens are issued at about 5% a year.
  • "A new network needs a way to fix problems quickly, so the Foundation holds some admin powers at launch." We found no published audit of the chain or the claim contract.
  • The terms warn "that a public market for the Tokens may never exist", and disputes go to arbitration under Cayman Islands law.

Who is behind Ritual?

Ritual was co-founded by Niraj Pant and Akilesh Potti, both formerly partners at Polychain. The Ritual Foundation is a Cayman Islands foundation company, and Ritual Limited, its British Virgin Islands subsidiary, filed a crypto-asset white paper in the EU in July 2026 for a public token sale. In November 2023 the development company raised a $25 million Series A. Fortune reported: "Archetype, an early-stage crypto VC, led the raise, and Accomplice and Robot Ventures participated."
