Is there a SmartX airdrop?
No. SmartX has no token and hasn't mentioned an airdrop. What it runs is a waitlist race for its coming app, with prizes for the people who bring in the most sign-ups. Its app isn't out yet; its X profile still says "App coming soon."
The first round paid USDT, gadgets and fee discounts, and it's over. "Ranks freeze on Oct 6 at 10:00 UTC." A second round started on 8 October, but SmartX hasn't published its prizes, rules or end date.
What SmartX is
SmartX describes its app this way: "The social trading app for memes, perps, stocks and prediction markets. Follow verified traders and trade in one tap." The plan is that you see what other traders actually hold, not just what they say. For the launch, SmartX says: "We're launching with prediction markets and expanding across memes, perps and stocks."
Nothing trades yet. The terms say: "The Services do not currently execute trades, accept transaction instructions, provide deposits or withdrawals, hold user funds or digital assets, or provide payment or KYC services."
How the SmartX waitlist works
You take a short test, then promote it. "Take the test. Answer six questions and get your trader type card." Then: "Publish your test result in a public post and include your personal invite link." Your place depends mostly on invites: "Your rank is based on when you join and your Boost." An invite only counts once that person has done the same: "They count as a valid invite only after the post is verified and their X account is connected."
In round 1 the top 100 shared most of a USDT pool that "starts at 2,000 USDT and is capped at 10,000 USDT", and places 501 to 5,000 got a fee discount and early access. "All USDT rewards will be claimed inside the SmartX App." That app hasn't launched, and "The exact claim time and steps will be announced before the SmartX App officially launches."
SmartX airdrop step-by-step guide
There's no airdrop. These steps get you on the waitlist for round 2.
- Open smartx.io/waitlist and take the six-question test.
- Sign in with your email and the code SmartX sends you.
- Post your result on X with your invite link, then paste the post's link back on the waitlist page. "Once verified, the X account that published it will be automatically connected to your SmartX account, and your rank will be unlocked."
- Invite people if you want to climb. "One person, one account. Self-invites and duplicate accounts are removed."
Warning Round 2 has no published prizes or end date. Don't spam people for a reward nobody has described yet.

SmartX costs and fees
Joining costs nothing. There's no deposit, no wallet to connect and no payment. What you give is your email address, a public promotional post on X and a connected X account. The app will charge trading fees when it opens, since discounts on them are one of the prizes, but no fee schedule has been published.
SmartX risks and eligibility
- "You must be at least 18 years old". No list of excluded countries is published.
- Rank depends almost entirely on invites, so late joiners without a following have little chance.
- The app is late. On 25 August SmartX posted "App coming next month, stay tuned", and it still hasn't launched. USDT prizes can only be claimed in it.
- SmartX decides the results: "SmartX reserves the right to make the final decision on rankings and reward allocation."
- "SmartX will never ask for your seed phrase, private keys or any payment."
Who is behind SmartX?
The terms name the company as "Edgewater Tech Limited, a company incorporated in the British Virgin Islands". SmartX calls David_Y its founder, posting "Our founder @David_MetaWorld ranked top 10 on Binance Futures, then built SmartX", and names Jess Tian as co-founder. It is backed by YZi Labs through its EASY Residency program; SmartX says it is "proud to have @yzilabs as an investor in SmartX". The amount wasn't disclosed by SmartX.
