Is there a Variational airdrop?
Yes. Variational's token page says $VAR will launch in Q4 2026 and sets aside 32% of the supply as a "Genesis Distribution" for points holders. Each wallet's share follows its points balance, and all of these tokens unlock at the token generation event (TGE).
Team members and investors get 50%. Their tokens stay locked for 12 months after TGE and then unlock over at least three years. Variational also says it intends to use all revenue sent to its treasury to buy back and burn $VAR.
Points go out once a week, and the docs say the last weekly drop will come no later than the end of Q4 2026. If you start now, you have at most three months of drops left.
What Variational is
Omni is the trading app built on the Variational protocol. It lists more than 550 perpetual futures markets across crypto, stocks, commodities, FX, indexes and pre-IPO companies. There are no trading fees, leverage goes up to 50x, and the app runs on Arbitrum. You don't need ETH for gas, because deposits, withdrawals and logins are all gasless.
Variational airdrop step-by-step guide
- Find an access code. Omni is in private beta, and Variational shares codes in its Discord and on X.
- Go to omni.variational.io, click Connect Wallet and enter the code. Accept the terms of use, wait while your portfolio is created, then click Authenticate and sign the login message. The signature is free.
- Get USDC onto Arbitrum, bridging it from another chain if you need to, and deposit it with the Deposit button. Omni takes a flat 0.1 USDC from every deposit and withdrawal.
- Trade. Points arrive every Friday at 0:00 UTC and cover your activity up to 0:00 UTC the day before.

Withdrawals can only go back to the wallet you signed up with, so sign up with a wallet you plan to keep.
Variational airdrop costs and fees
Using Omni costs very little in fees: nothing to trade and 0.1 USDC per transfer. The bigger cost is market risk. A leveraged position can be liquidated, and a losing trade can easily cost more than the points end up being worth.
Variational airdrop risks and eligibility
- You can't open an account without an access code while the beta lasts.
- Restricted persons can't use Omni. Variational's docs put people in the US, Canada and Taiwan, US territories and sanctioned regions in that group.
- Variational can change the points program or any account's total at its discretion. The docs name inorganic behavior and breaches of the terms of use as examples.
- Points have no fixed value. Your share of the 32% depends on how many points everyone else earns.
Who is behind Variational?
Variational raised a $50 million Series A in May 2026. Dragonfly led the round, and Bain Capital Crypto and Coinbase Ventures also invested, according to CoinDesk. Crypto Briefing reports an earlier $10.3 million seed round.
