Is there a Sumex airdrop?
Sumex says there will be one, without any numbers. Its site says: "During the Token Generation Event, Sigma Points will be converted into the Sumex token." It adds: "The amount of SPs you hold may influence your final token allocation and related TGE benefits." No token, supply, conversion rate, pool size or date has been published, and Sumex's roadmap lists "TGE & listings arrangements" for the first quarter of 2027, still pending.
Its own docs are less sure. One page says: "There are whispers that Sigma Points may be exchangeable for Sumex's native token at TGE".
Warning Sumex can change the rules: "Please note that Sumex reserves the right to change these rewards in the future, yet never retrospectively."
What Sumex is
"Sumex is a non-custodial, chain-agnostic Web3 SuperApp that aggregates the best of CeFi and DeFi into a single dashboard." You link wallets and exchange accounts, then track them together, trade spot and futures on the linked exchanges and swap tokens across chains. Exchange accounts connect through API keys, which Sumex stores: "API credentials are encrypted, internally segmented, and stored with additional encoding layers."
How Sumex Sigma Points work
A Rewards Hub hands out XP and Sigma Points (SP) for tasks: "Users earn SP by completing activities such as trading, social tasks, referrals and on-chain interactions". Most of them are trading tasks. The smallest is to "Execute $10 Spot Trade" for 1 SP, and the largest asks you to "Complete at least 100 futures trades of $1,000 or more each within the active 30-day window to lock in your rewards." for 800 SP. Daily tasks reset: "The progress will reset at 00:00 UTC - you will be able to complete it again afterwards." Only trades made through Sumex count: "Only activities done inside the Sumex interface (or through our official API) are measured."
Points stay with your account: "Sigma Points are tied to your Sumex account, not to individual wallets." And "Nope, SPs do not expire." There are also monthly volume milestones, which reset every month.
Partner campaigns pay a third currency, MR ("Money Reward"), which can be claimed to a wallet. The one running now is a trading competition in tokenized stocks with ST0x, with "2,500 MR up for grabs every week for 4 weeks (10,000 MR in total)." It runs until 16 November 2026.
Sumex airdrop step-by-step guide
There's no confirmed airdrop. These steps earn Sigma Points.
- Open app.sumex.io and log in. "Currently, Sumex allows to log-in with Google, X, Telegram, Discord and a large variety of Web3 wallets."
- If you log in with a wallet, you only sign a message. Sumex warns that if anything asks for more, "especially permissions involving fund access or token approvals", you should not approve it.
- Optional: link an exchange account with an API key to trade through Sumex. "Withdrawal access is not required and should not be enabled."
Warning A trading API key lets an app place trades on your exchange account. Use a read-only key unless you need to trade through Sumex, and never enable withdrawals.
- Open the Rewards Hub and pick tasks. Each card shows the XP and SP it pays. Social tasks and quizzes are free; trading tasks are not.
- Track your points under My Rewards and on the leaderboard.

Sumex costs and fees
Logging in and the social tasks cost nothing. Most points come from trading, which means exchange fees, network gas and price risk, and the futures tasks use leverage. Sumex's disclaimer says: "Leveraged trading carries a high level of risk and may result in losses exceeding your initial capital." Swaps through Sumex add nothing of their own, by its account: "Not only swapping crypto via Sumex doesn't incur additional fees". Paid plans earn faster: "Paid plans may provide higher reward multipliers, access to exclusive campaigns, early participation in quests, and additional earning mechanics within the Sumex ecosystem." Their prices are only shown after you log in.
Sumex risks and eligibility
- "You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable in your jurisdiction to use Sumex." No list of excluded countries is published.
- No KYC: "Sumex does not require registration, passwords, or KYC."
- The referral program pays commissions on your invitees "but those invited by them too - up to 3 levels deep". Unclaimed referral payouts expire after 30 days.
- Many exchange tasks ask you to open an account through Sumex's own referral link.
- Competition is heavy: the all-time leaderboard listed 30,686 accounts on 23 October.
- No audit has been done. Sumex says it "does not store user funds or deploy smart contracts", yet its roadmap lists a completed "Proxy smart contract".
Who is behind Sumex?
Nobody is named. The terms say: "Sumex is a platform operated by a globally distributed team under Sumex Labs." They give no country, address or registration. The only location comes from a paid press release in June 2026 that calls Sumex "Hong Kong-based". No investors or funding have been announced.
