Can you still claim the Linea airdrop?
No. Linea's help center gave the claim "a 90-day period from 15:00 UTC, September 10, 2025 until 23:59 UTC, December 9, 2025". By May 2026 it read: "The LINEA community airdrop has concluded. Claiming is no longer available."
Unclaimed tokens "will be returned to the Linea Consortium Ecosystem Fund and reinvested into the Linea and Ethereum ecosystems." Linea said in December 2025 that more than 92% of eligible wallets had claimed.
Warning Linea warned that "Scammers may create fake websites mimicking the official claim site to steal wallet information or tokens." With the claim closed, any Linea airdrop claim page is fake.
What was the Linea airdrop?
Linea is an Ethereum layer 2 network built by Consensys and open to everyone since July 2023. Its token, LINEA, went live on 10 September 2025 with a supply of 72,009,990,000. Linea set nothing aside for insiders: "LINEA has no allocation for insiders, investors, or team members." Gas on the network is still paid in ETH.
The airdrop itself was large: "In total, 9,361,298,700 LINEA has been allocated, to be shared among 749,662 eligible addresses." That was 13% of the supply, made up of 9% for early users and 4% for people who provided liquidity in Linea's Surge program.
Who got the Linea airdrop?
- Voyage users: people with at least 2,000 LXP, the non-transferable points from Linea's Voyage campaigns. Linea drew the line there because "analysis provided by Nansen showed a heavy concentration of sybil activity below this level". Holders were sorted into seven tiers, up to 8,000 LXP and more. Three boosts added 10% each: one for using Linea before the Dencun upgrade in March 2024, one for six active months between August 2024 and June 2025, and one for using MetaMask products.
- Surge liquidity providers: people with at least 15,000 LXP-L, the points Linea paid for providing liquidity in the Surge from May 2024.
Everyone also had to pass Proof of Humanity, an identity check run with Sumsub. Decrypt reported that about 800,000 sybil wallets were removed.
How much was the Linea airdrop worth?
LINEA hit its all-time high on launch day, at about $0.046, and Decrypt put the whole airdrop at "around $437 million" at that peak. By 15 December 2025 LINEA had fallen about 85%, Decrypt reported. On 29 October 2026 it traded at about $0.0024, according to CoinGecko, which valued the entire airdrop at roughly $23 million.
Is there a new Linea airdrop in 2026?
No new airdrop has been announced. Linea's tokenomics post lists "future airdrops" among the uses of its Ecosystem Fund, but gives no date or amount.
The programs since have rewarded other groups. Ignition paid 1 billion LINEA to liquidity providers until 26 October 2025, and Exponent paid builders. Yield Boost, live since 30 March 2026, funds incentives that partners run, and Linea's docs say: "You may receive incentives only if you participate in a program that is funded by those rewards."
In September 2026 Consensys announced a split into two companies, with Linea going to a newly formed Consensys and the old company becoming MetaMask. Treat any talk of a second Linea airdrop as unconfirmed unless it comes from Linea's own site or X account.
